Workforce and HR
Workforce in Stackap Business covers applications, onboarding, documents, performance reviews, availability, commissions and payouts for employees and contractors.
What it does
Applications are collected through forms for review. Each new member gets a lifecycle of tasks and required documents, with versions, submission and review steps, and a lifecycle job that runs every five minutes and sends reminders until the paperwork is done. Reviews have goals, events and acknowledgments, so a review is something the worker confirms, not only something a manager writes.
Pay is tied to the work. Contractor payouts, weekly staff payroll runs and commissions for referrers and sales partners are calculated from jobs and sales, approved, and settled, then posted to the finance ledger. Access is controlled by seven roles and 116 permissions, with per-business overrides.
Workers use a team portal, which installs as a web app, to see jobs, set availability and message the office. Team messaging translates between English and Spanish.
How it works
Stackap Business is working software for running a service business, with its capabilities documented from the code. It is being brought onto the Stackap platform, so an outside agent can operate it with the same scoped tokens, approvals and API that Stackap Cloud uses. That work is in progress. Workforce tools run inside the business software today. They are not yet reachable by an outside agent.
Seeing HR and operations together is the useful part. Performance can sit next to completed jobs, availability next to the schedule, and pay next to the work that earned it. A manager deciding who to put on a recurring client can see the worker's reviews, the client's feedback and the margin on the job in the same place.
Early-access scope
- No payroll tax withholding or filing. Pay is contractor-style, with the payroll liabilities account available for your accountant.
- No paid time off or leave tracking. Attendance is check-in and check-out against jobs.
- No tracking of licenses, insurance or certificate renewals.
- Not a replacement for an employment lawyer or a professional employer organization. Compliance rules vary by location.
