Commerce and payments
Commerce and payments in Stackap Business covers invoices, card checkout, refunds, worker payouts, a storefront with fulfillment, and business websites.
What it does
Invoices can be created, sent, paid or voided, with payments recorded by card, by a recorded manual payment, or from a parsed payment email. Card payments and refunds run through Stripe, and each one posts to the finance ledger. Worker payouts run on Stripe Connect.
A storefront is included: a catalog, checkout through Stripe, orders and suppliers. Dropship fulfillment adapters connect to Printful and Printify, so an order can be sent to a print-on-demand supplier and its variants tracked.
Each business can have a website. The software generates and serves sites for its businesses, from templates with AI-assisted copy, on their own domains, and routes each domain to the right business. About forty site variants exist today.
How it works
Stackap Business is working software for running a service business, with its capabilities documented from the code. It is being brought onto the Stackap platform, so an outside agent can operate it with the same scoped tokens, approvals and API that Stackap Cloud uses. That work is in progress. Commerce runs inside the business software today. Stackap Cloud already provides domains and HTTPS for the sites; the rest is not yet available through the Stackap API.
Because the sale, the payment and the books are one chain, a refund reduces revenue where it should, and a cancelled booking reverses its posting instead of leaving a gap. An agent asked why last month's revenue dropped can follow the chain from the refund to the booking to the customer without leaving the system.
Early-access scope
- No self-serve visual website builder. Sites come from templates and generated content, not a drag-and-drop editor.
- General subscription billing for your customers is not claimed. Recurring service schedules exist; recurring card billing is a separate matter that has not been verified.
- Stock levels, locations and warehouses are not tracked, and there are no purchase orders.
- Payment methods depend on Stripe's coverage for your country and account.
